Make a Gift to the Brandon Gallagher-Manning Memorial Fund

Brandon Gallagher-ManningThe Brandon Gallagher-Manning Memorial Fund was established to support the work of the nonprofit Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne, Texas, whose mission is to promote conservation of natural resources through education and stewardship. In particular, the fund endows the annual Songs and Stories concert series that is one of many programs produced by the nature center. Brandon was a 21-year old aspiring musician when he was killed in a tragic car accident on I-10 just outside of San Antonio on May 12, 2001.

At the time of his death, Brandon was planning his move to Austin, to enroll at UT film school and to get closer to the live music scene. Brandon was a talented guitar player, almost exclusively self-taught, and loved music that ranged from teenage hard rock, to Stevie Ray Vaughn, to classical guitar. He also taught himself how to play the piano. Brandon also loved his friends from high school and his work at Macaroni Grill, and maintained close contacts with dozens of them. In many ways, Brandon was the social director for the group, and he loved just being around his friends. Since Brandon’s life revolved around his music and his friends, it was fitting to establish a memorial endowment that directly supports a concert series that involves music and friends. Please help us grow the Brandon Fund, so that it can provide increased support to the fine programs of the Cibolo Nature Center. Even if you cannot contribute, it is our sincere wish that Brandon’s love of friends, family and music will inspire you to spend time with those who matter the most.
